A Damn Shame
February 9th, 2009

“Chris Brown turned himself in around 7 p.m. to one of our stations and is being interviewed by detectives now,” Officer Smith said.

According to law enforcement records, Brown, 19, was taken into custody at 6:30 p.m. and was officially booked at 7:41 p.m. for making criminal threats.

Brown posted $50,000 bail and was released.

TMZ reports that Chris Brown, scheduled to perform at Sunday’s Grammy Awards, has turned himself in to Los Angeles police:

We’ve just learned Chris Brown has just turned himself in to the LAPD.

Chris is being investigated by the LAPD for an alleged domestic violence felony battery that occurred early this morning near Hancock Park in L.A.

According to the victim, her and Chris got into an argument which became violent — and cops say the woman in question had “visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.”

The LAPD says Brown had left the scene by the time they arrived — and the identity of the victim is not released in domestic battery cases.

If the charges are true, I hope this ends his career. Be strong RiRi.

HATER ALERT
UPDATE:
Etta James tried backtracking on her criticisms of Beyonce and President Obama late Thursday. She told the NYDN:

“I didn’t really mean anything,” James said. “Even as a little child, I’ve always had that comedian kind of attitude. … That’s probably what went into it.”

Still, James acknowledged being miffed she wasn’t invited to perform her signature song for Obama’s first dance with his wife on inauguration night.

James said she was “feeling left out of something that was basically mine, that I had done every time you look around.”

Whatever your opinion is of Beyonce stay true to it. The so-called great Etta James (I only know her for that one song and quiet frankly thought she’d passed away some time ago.) is another older person who hasn’t grasped the concept that everything you say nowadays end up on youtube or is recorded on someone’s camera phone. Anyway, she laid the smackdown on Beyonce by saying in concert:

“You guys know your president, right? You know the one with the big ears? Wait a minute, he ain’t my president. He might be yours; he ain’t my president. But I tell you that woman he had singing for him, singing my song — she’s going to get her a– whipped.

“The great Beyoncé,” James went on. “Like I said, she ain’t mine. … I can’t stand Beyoncé. She has no business up there, singing up there on a big ol’ president day, gonna be singing my song that I’ve been singing forever.”

Now as you see in the picture above or perhaps you saw her hugging all over Beyonce at last year’s Fashion Rocks. She’s smiling, cheesing-loving the fact that someone has made her relevant again. Etta didn’t write AT LAST nor was she first to sing it-she did, however, make it famous. And Beyonce has made it popular again. She was all happy when Beyonce was cast to portray her in Cadallac Records. I suspect that Etta is pissed that Beyonce and not her performed the song on a historical night-Aretha had her chance, right?. Sounds like there’s more than one definition of a Diva, Bey. But bitter never looks good on anyone. Plus I don’t take too kindly that Ms. Etta is dissing on MY president. Frankly, I thought Beyonce did a great job that night.

My respect for Ms. James goes down the tube because with age supposedly comes wisdom and this smiling in someone’s face and then slinking off to talk shit when you think its safe was so high school. At the Cadallac Records premeire she gushed about Beyonce portrayal. This is what I mean about fake ass people. Betcha five to ten Beyonce won’t take the bait. One thing Beyonce does have on lock is how to keep her mouth shut. Etta, just make your chomp change on these revival concerts and shut the hell up.

I love having soft skin and love trying out different products. So when this product was recommended to me, I jumped right on it. At first when I was applying this, I felt ridiculous because it was like coating your body in sugar or salt. But when I reached the rinsing off phase, I was in heaven. Then the end result: wonderfully soft skin. Don’t worry about this product overpowering you with the scent of coconut, it doesn’t. It leaves a very faint scent at best. But it leaves you with wonderfully soft skin. Check it out.
