I love your writing and for the reviewer just need to get a clue. Every story is a off-set of some other story. For those that are original (that's great) but when the story has been told its refreshing when someone else has a different spin on it. Whoever did the review must not read many other books that have the similar plots, just different writers and different routes each writer takes to get to the ending. Give me some fabulously retold Juliet/Romeo, Secret Baby, whatever and I will take it and enjoy it, like I always do. I haven't read the book yet, but I must say that very popular romance author Christina Dodd lifted the plot of "Sabrina" practically plot-turn by plot-turn (though with her own twist, and she is a god writer), and no reviewer had any problem with that. Goes to show that reviews should be taken with a grain of salt by both readers and writers. I think the reviewer wanted to nitpick. I felt the same thing when you first started talking about Alyssa's story and I was lovin it.
