Over 400 hundred years of being abused, mistreated, beaten, killed, discriminated against, and after building this country to become the nation that it is, a black man is now the most powerful man in the world. We are now living Dr. King’s dream. All those black and white Obama supporters singing and chanting ‘Yes We Can’ we the children in his dream singing ‘Free at Last’. He gave his life for this moment. The impossible has now been accomplished.

I cried and laughed at the same time, I thought of my grandparents who didn’t get to see this come to pass, I thought of all the struggles our race had to overcome to get to this point. I just wish Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King, Martin Luther King, Medgar Evers, Betty Shabazz, Malcolm X and the list goes on, could have seen this day! Now the real work begins
