BYRD WATCHER MEMBER “KIMMI” INTERVIEWS LITTLE OLE ME!

KIMMI: Yes this maybe a little unorthodox but seriously it wouldn’t be me, relax and think before answering these questions. This will be more like interview.

ok here we go
KIMMI: When are your favorite times to write.
LITTLE OLE ME: At night-early morning.
KIMMI: Do you have a ritual?
LITTLE OLE ME: It’s usually me going, “c’mon Jan. Write something. The book is late.” (Jan is my nickname)
KIMMI: Is there ever a time after writing a book that you personally weren’t satisfied?
LITTLE OLE ME: While I’m writing I absolutely think I’m writing the biggest pile of crap. Seriously. Stress does that to you.
KIMMI: Do you feel any pressure to make the latest book, better than the last. ?
LITTLE OLE ME: No. Not exactly.
KIMMI: Do you ever not like a hero, or heroine?
LITTLE OLE ME: No.
KIMMI: What was your favorite book you have written?
LITTLE OLE ME: Tie. Love’s Deception and My Destiny…Comfort of a Man

KIMMI: Who is your favorite author?
LITTLE OLE ME: Dennis Lehane. In romance old Judith McNaught. Love, love love “Whitney My Love.”
KIMMI: What book would you love to see made into a movie?
LITTLE OLE ME: All of them.
KIMMI: Do you only write for women or color?
LITTLE OLE ME: I just write-everyone is welcome to read.
KIMMI: Do you think you will ever write a book for full figure women ?
LITTLE OLE ME: Full figure women can read my novels.
KIMMI: As a author is there any topic you wouldn’t want to write about?
LITTLE OLE ME: No.
KIMMI: How many books will you finish before 2008 is up. ?
LITTLE OLE ME: Don’t understand the question. How many I have to write next year? How many I’ve completed over the course of my career by the end of 2008 or how many books hit the shelves next year?
KIMMI: Do you mind when fans don’t like or relate to a books?
LITTLE OLE ME: I’m sorry they don’t get it, but I’m never upset. I’m a hard book critic myself.
KIMMI: How real do you think romance should be?
LITTLE OLE ME: The characters or the circumstances? Circumstances can always get crazy or zany and a lot of time we/characters have no control over that. But the essence of who your characters are at their core should be real. Example: When Valentines Collide-really is over the top almost slapstick, but who Chante and Matthew were at their core, a couple crumbling because possibly missing out on starting a family and looking to place the blame on the other was and is real for couples who may have placed career before family thinking they had plenty of time. Then when they are ready, women may find that their bodies aren’t so cooperative.
KIMMI: Also I think you need to add, ask “Ask Ms Byrd’ weekly, cause your hella funny, honest and for some reason I don’t think you will hold back on how you “REALLY ” feel.
LITTLE OLE ME: If I take on too many more writing items it’s going to slow book production. Want to take a vote?

THANKS FOR THE INTERVIEW, KIMMI!
