Condolences

The following is being reported: Dr. Donda West, the mother of hip-hop superstar Kanye West, who nurtured and promoted her son’s musical career from its infancy, died Saturday in a Los Angeles hospital. She was 58.

It’s always hard losing a loved one, especially when it’s out the blue. I don’t know how many rap fans are on this blog, but I’m sure most can relate. Remember to always tell those close to you how you love and appreciate them. You never know when it will be the last time you see them.

  1. I heard about this yesterday. I hope he’s surrounded by people that love him because he’s going to need the support.

  2. I heard about this yesterday too. I’m not a fan of rap music, but I’ve certainly heard of Kanye West and have heard a few of his songs. I certainly know what he is going through. It’s going to be really tough for him. My mother just passed on September 2nd and I’ve been having a really hard time dealing with it because my mom and I were really close. I will definitely keep Kanye in my prayers.

  4. Honestly aside from me having sympathy for Kanye and his family, I think theres a bigger issue everyone needs to look at. I just read that she was having a tummy tuck and a breast reduction when she died. I gotta ask should we be risking our lives to be beautiful when we already are. Should losing our lives be worth the boost in our self esteem. I was thinking about having a breast reduction and I am starting to rethink it. I hope everyone takes a lesson from this and realize that 9 times out of 10, we are beautiful the way we are. My prayers are with the West family and to everyone eles that has lost a loved one. God Bless.
