Playing the Gay Card

plummer

Terry McMillan’s ex-DL Husband, Jonathan Plummer is playing the gay card because one California bookstore refuses to stock his book. I say ‘Welcome to the wonderful world of Publishing’. Only thing is, I didn’t know we are able to hold press conferences and whine about bookstores refusing to stock books. Heck, I’m missing ten years of pity parties. Most likely Mr. Plummers complaint is that his book hasn’t taken off like he and his publishers had hoped for. The book is likely a year late and a dollar short. Nobody cares. Let’s see if after playing this card, he’ll play the race card, too. Decisions. Decisions.

  1. even if he had come out with this book as soon as it happened, there still wouldn’t have been much interest, as far as I’m concerned. now that so much time has past and he’s whining, it just makes him look pathetic.

  3. Frankly, I don’t know how he fool Ms. McMillan. I thought he was gay the first time I saw him.

  4. I’ve heard others say what Dana said (”I thought he was gay the first time I saw him”), long before the actual story broke.

I can’t deny that as a poor working slob I’m more than a little resentful of the celebrity book, which automatically leap off the shelves. Today’s scandal is tomorrow’s novel or non-fiction. But I don’t know what he’s complaining about. His Amazon ranking is a lot better than mine . . . .
