They ran for years as friends in the same small circles. They had some hits, but mostly misses with other partners, and they shared one spectacularly dreadful first date together. And then, Courtney and Angela connected. This amazing couple have been married for 10 years and have even written a good book about their amazing love story. Yay, for black love.

I saw them on TBN back in August and to hear them talk about their friendship and marriage was moving.
They don’t just love each other, they love the Lord first and that’s what makes the difference in this marriage.

I love a “friends to lovers” story. 
And it’s even better when it happens to real people. I still need to find tome to read their book though… So many books, so little time…

Courtney B. Vance reminds me of my first husband - sounds like him, too - but I like him anyway!
I’m happy for them, as they seem blissful together. I give them credit for taking on the parenting of twins at nearly 50. I don’t think I’d want to do that, even if I could afford a full-time nanny!
